Accounting & Management System Integration Class

IN PERSON

$575.00 per person

Two days in person in Denver

Most collision shop owners work hard and still open their financial statements without being sure what the numbers are telling them. This two day class is built to change that.

Who it is for

  • Owners and operators who want to trust the numbers they are handed
  • Controllers and office managers responsible for the books
  • Bookkeepers, whether you are new to collision or have years behind you
  • General managers, estimators, and parts personnel who touch the numbers
  • Any collision team member who wants the shop’s systems and financials reading true

You will walk away able to

Understand your financial statements: know exactly what belongs on a P&L and a balance sheet

Set up statements that read clean and are easy to read, so the books agree

Understand cash versus accrual, and why accrual matters for collision

Understand WIP: why it matters, what to look at, and how to verify the data

Understand prepaids and how to properly record and amortize them

Connect your management system to your accounting software, for example QuickBooks, so production and the books agree

Understand the impact of recorded entries in your management system, and how to properly code items to yield clean, accurate reporting

Handle reconciliations and month end close for tasks done daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually

Read gross profit by department, with the KPIs for labor, parts, paint materials, and sublet, and how to analyze and troubleshoot them

Work through parts codes and line item mapping, sales adjustments, payroll flagging, receipts, discounts, and write offs, properly closing ROs, and sales tax

Leave with a review checklist for month end close

Leave with know how, not theory

Facilitator

Maria Quintero, Fiel Partners

Maria started at a collision shop in 1998 and worked her way through every seat: claims, parts, estimating, and the books, and on into ownership of the collision center. She closes these books every month. You are learning from someone who does this work, not from theory.

Square One Systems organizes and hosts this class.
